I'm a husband, and a Canadian, a developer and and entrepreneur. I have a commitment to Corporate Citizenship and a belief that business is accountable to employees, customers, shareholders and the community. I Co-Founded Lewis Media Inc., a web development and software development firm, Simple Machines Forum, an open source software development project, and OnMyBlock.ca Ltd., an online permission based marketing company.
I'm a graduate of Leadership Waterloo Region, and my professional interests include user business and NFP governance, interface design, web strategy, web content management, software development, and all things high-tech.
My goals and directions focus on entrepreneurship (commercial and social) and corporate policy, process and culture development. I often speak on entrepreneurship and a variety of more specific topics regarding web development industry. Here I will try to share with you a cross section of some of the things that make up a lot of my goals and objectives in life.
Note: Yes, we recently sold Lewis Media, and no I'm no longer intimately involved in the day-to-day running of the company. For those that are interested, Until recently, I've been filling my time taking a long-wanted break, and helping out local organizations like CTT and Communitech with various strategic web-related initiatives.I have recently joined the Centre for International Governance Innovation as the Director of IT & Collaboration Strategies
