I’m an entrepreneur and recovering developer. I am committed to corporate citizenship and believe that business is accountable to employees, customers, shareholders and the community. I am a fan of Waterloo Region, Startups, and Kung-Fu.

Current Work

By day I’m over at TribeHR (as co-founder, ceo, and general handyman). By night, as a volunteer, I sit on the boards of the KW Art Gallery and the Waterloo Region Barnraisers Council, and volunteer with several others including Ignite Waterloo, Capacity Waterloo Region and others. If you’re so inclined, you can learn more about my community work here.

Prior to my current engagements, I was Director of Digital Media at CIGI, co-founded Lewis Media Inc., a web development and software development firm, Simple Machines Forum, an open source software development project, and Ltd., an online permission based marketing company. I’m a graduate of Leadership Waterloo Region, and my professional interests include user business and NFP governance, interface design, web strategy, web content management, software development, and all things high-tech. I am also a graduate of the Computer Engineering program at the University of Waterloo.

Interests & Goals

My goals and directions focus on entrepreneurship (commercial and social) and corporate policy, process and culture development. I often speak on entrepreneurship and a variety of more specific topics regarding web development industry. In this blog, I try to share with you a cross section of some of the things that make up a lot of my goals and objectives in life.

If you’d like to connect, you can probably find me at my favourite coffee shop, where I’m probably working on building something new like Ignite Waterloo or TribeHR.
