Creativity on Demand

It always amazes me how full-time designers can be creative (artistically creative, that is) all the time. I sometimes find it difficult to put ideas together and tonight is one of those times. I’m up late working on a couple of projects that have a pretty significant design element, and I feel as though my wheels are just spinning. Xiaopu’s waiting for me to pack it up for the evening, and I can’t seem to get things to gel. It’s rather frustrating.

Last week we began having weekly development meetings for the TravelPod project – and during tonight’s meeting some really interesting things were put onto my plate. I can’t provide any more details except that they’re new features *gasp* – I love this stuff! It’s a blast!

With Derek and Dave both chewing away on things, I feel like I’m finally getting a handle on things at the office, and life is starting to settle down in to a bit more of a routine. The guys have been excellent about putting in some extra hours to get over this current hump, and we’re starting to see results. For example, my flagged items list in Outlook is down to 19 from 156 a night ago.

It’s with some trepidation that I’m clearing that list off – after all, without a list of pending stuff to worry about, what will I do? 😉
