Strategic Retreat

Yesterday we came back from Collingwood where we ran our Strategic Planning Retreat this year. Although I’m always skeptical about the term “retreat” I do believe that when run properly, they can act as catalysts for big changes and exciting things. Although the planning that went into it was minimal, this weekend was one such catalyst.

Sunday started off with Anne, Eric and I working on a number of big-picture topics including some work surrounding – we quickly moved on though, to Lewis Media, and Adao and how the two can work together more effectively in the future. Sunday night the guys arrived, we enjoyed an excellent steak dinner (bbq mastering provided by Eric & Dave) and hit the local Molly Bloom’s. Although Monday began with a rocky start, things quickly took off. I don’t believe I’ve ever been as pumped about my work with Lewis Media as I was after our work on Monday. We were focusing on revising our Mission as well as the direction of the company over the next two years.

There are some exciting changes coming down the pipe, and I’m looking forward to them?- the guys as well are really excited, and that energizes me even more! 🙂 I’ll post more details about “exciting changes” as they can be made public.
