Waterloo, Web & Whimsy

I had coffee with Alex Frakking yesterday, and he had some interesting things to say about web traffic modelling - essentially he was using engingeering modelling practices, to create a measurable model of a website's traffic including sources, filters, outputs and data flows. It was interesting to see some of the stuff we learned at uni (Alex and I both studied engineering at the University of Waterloo) used in this way.

The most interesting example, is Alex's prediction that Canadian Facebook growth may be finished - that the poulation has almost reached saturation.

I won't take the wind out of his sails - it's worth reading for your self.
