I'm sitting in the lounge upstairs at the Mesh Conference 2009, listening to a Microsoft Rep discuss the new partnership with OCAD, where they are donating surface computer technology and services. Fascinating stuff! Kudos go out to the Infusion Development team that actually developed and ran the demo. To quote the press release:

Microsoft Surface is a revolutionary interactive computing surface that allows individual or multiple users to access digital content with natural gestures and touch. In addition to the 30-inch diagonal tabletop display, Microsoft Canada will provide design and development tools and training to OCAD students and faculty. The donation will benefit the OCAD's new Digital Media Research + Innovation Institute (DMRII) and the university's existing leading-edge digital research.

Makes me wonder if the new Digital Media Centre in Kitchener-Waterloo will also get one? I'd bet on it...
